Hello, my name is Kiara Schmidt. I am a 17-year-old Junior Libero, on Viper’s 18-Dennis team. This will be my ninth year playing volleyball, and my seventh year playing competitive club volleyball. Last season, I played on the 18-1’s team at 951 Elite under the coaches Dennis Palpallatoc and Jon Mosbacher, and this season I am coached by them both again. I am very devoted to the sport I love and spend many hours in the gym looking to improve in all aspects of the game, in order to help my team succeed. I love pushing myself and teammates to improve every day. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends whether that be hiking, being outdoors, or cooking.
I attend Murrieta Mesa High School in Murrieta, California, where this is my fourth year playing on Varsity. My freshman year, I maintained a 4.0 GPA, while being one of three Freshman players on Varsity. Sophomore year, I was awarded Defensive Player of the Year for my team, All Scholastic Team in the Southwestern League with a 4.0 GPA, and 2nd Team All League for the Southwestern League. Junior year, I was awarded again with Defensive Player of the Year on my team and made the 2nd Team All League in the Southwestern League. My Senior year I lead the league in digs with a total of 428. I look forward to competing and getting better every day and can’t wait to see what my last year of my high school and club have to offer.
